Sheila David, PhD is Professor of Chemistry and aims to reveal fundamental features of recognition and repair of oxidative DNA damage mediated by base excision repair glycosylases. The focus is on developing chemical, enzymatic and cellular approaches for studying the MUTYH glycosylase and variants associated an inherited form of colorectal cancer, MUTYH-associated polyposis (MAP).
