Hongwu Chen, PhD is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine and his research includes: 1) the role and molecular mechanisms of steroid receptors and their associated chromatin coregulators in cancers; 2) molecular mechanisms of oncogene action in cancer; 3) chromatin modifications/remodeling and epigenetic regulation in control of gene expression; and 4) molecular mechanism of hormone signaling in control of cell proliferation and differentiation in the mammalian endocrine systems.
