Dr. Sweeney's research focuses on molecular mechanisms of breast tumor initiation, progression and recurrence with an emphasis on regulation of tyrosine kinase signaling. Furthermore, the laboratory is interested in therapeutic resistance to targeted agents such as Herceptin and Lapatinib.
